How can I help?

Volunteer and Make a Difference!

Volunteer a little or a lot.  Once a week or once a month - day, evening or weekend shifts are available.  Choose from a wide range of opportunities to strengthen families in our community.  Connecting Families is a volunteer-based, non-profit organization dedicated to helping parents with one of the most important jobs, raising a child.  We focus on helping families under stress or facing challenging situations with their children.  As a volunteer, you would work with our staff in any number of volunteer opportunities, depending on your individual interests and talents. Training is provided.  Please contact us to learn more, or download a volunteer application!
  • BECOME A BOARD MEMBER: Contribute your time and talent to help determine the direction of our organization.  Make a difference in the lives of the children of Montgomery County by helping their parents.
  • PARENTING CLASS FACILITATORS AND ASSISTANTS: Lead workshops for divorcing parents or other general parenting classes.  Assist facilitators with room set-up, participant registration and distribution of materials.  Training provided.
  • TECHNOLOGICAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT: Help with special projects, web development, video production, data entry, and other support services such as preparing materials for upcoming classes.
  • NEWSLETTER PUBLICATION: Research and write articles, design layout using Microsoft Publisher and help distribute Connecting Families' newsletters.
  • FUNDRAISING AND PUBLICITY: Share your special talents, work on committees, or provide support for these critical activities.  Assistance with grant writing is also needed.
