About Us
Connecting Families is a 501(c)(3) organization of trained professionals and volunteers committed to building healthy families in Montgomery County, TX since 1986.
Originally founded as a partnership between Children’s Protective Services and community volunteers, our mission was to work with at-risk families to prevent child abuse and neglect. Today, our mission has expanded to offer programs for any family in our community, especially those who are facing stressful or challenging times with their young children. We work to provide education and support to parents, to strengthen families and help parents better meet the needs of their children.

Connecting Families provides resources that can enable parents to strengthen families in Montgomery County.
Connecting Families provides programs and services throughout the community to help parents and other caregivers with the challenges of raising children, especially during stressful or transitional times. We offer a variety of workshops including divorcing parents, parenting young children, anger management, parenting children with disabilities and blending stepfamilies. We also have a commitment to community education through our Speaker’s Bureau. Connecting Families is supported through the efforts of dedicated volunteers and funded by grants, fundraising activities and generous donations.
Family Mealtime Campaign
Connecting Through The Seasons family mealtime place mats encourage families to have dinner at least once a week together. There are positive conversation starters listed on the place mat along with artwork provided by children that focus on the seasons of the year. The objective is to realize that all families go through seasons of stress and, as with the seasons, no season lasts forever. Sometimes though families need counseling support or additional resources to get through those tough times. Connecting Families provides counseling, programs and classes to help strengthen families.
